What's New · 1.4.6

Version 1.4.6 adds bookmark categories, lets you switch sources for certain sites, and refines the safe search filter. Anime support has been removed. Catalog, search, and listing reliability are improved. A check-update issue under certain conditions is fixed, along with a problem loading the next chapter for a specific site.

This app is suited for experienced readers who frequently switch between manga, manhwa, manhua, and webtoon sources and want a single interface to manage their collection. It appeals to those who value offline access for commutes or travel, and who are comfortable customizing the reading environment. The ad blocker and source-switching features are particularly useful for users who dislike intrusive ads or want flexibility in choosing where to read. However, users who are privacy-conscious may want to consider the broad permissions before installing.

To get the most out of the app, explore the source-switching option for sites that support it, and use the bookmark category feature to organize your ongoing series. If you're concerned about permissions, you can revoke access to location, camera, or microphone in your device settings after installation, as these are not needed for core reading functions.

Manga Reader: Cookie Manga is a versatile tool for consolidating your reading across multiple sources, with offline support and customization options. It is a reasonable choice for users who prioritize flexibility and convenience, though the ads and broad permissions are worth noting.
